Piano Moving is Still Our Thing
Don’t let our recent name change fool you. We still maintain our active piano moving side of the business as well as the storage facility. That is what we started with and we will continue to grow with it. The home moving has slowly become a very important part of West Coast Moving. We felt it was the right time to expand into a new market, and to be able to provide not only piano or musical instrument moving services but household good moving services also.
We still offer a unique piano storage option. We’ve had pianos for as short as a week or as long as 7 or 8 years. We can hold up to 100 pianos at max capacity, and they are all stored in our climate-controlled facility attached to our warehouse. It provides a great option for situations where people want to keep their piano, but maybe can’t find room in their current living situation.
One of the biggest mistakes that people make is that they think they can move a piano on their own, or with the help of a few friends. This is how heirloom pianos get damaged or somebody gets hurt in the process. With the latest equipment and experienced movers, West Coast Moving and Storage is here to help make the process go a lot smoother. We care about your piano just as much as you do.
One of the most common questions that we get is: how much does it cost to move a piano? The answer may surprise you. Of course the rates vary from piano to piano and each location has different challenging factors. Stairs, decks, landings, and turns are some of the things that can affect how much a piano move might cost you. The base rate will depend on whether you have a grand or upright piano, and then the additional factors of location and stairs are added in. We offer free estimates and would love to talk to you about any questions you may have whether it’s a piano move or a storage question.
